DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
Grace and Truth Press L.L.C. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This policy outlines how we handle claims of copyright infringement on thesolascore.com (the “Site”) in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
1. How We Use Copyrighted Material
The Sola Score is a media review and rating platform. We display media titles, cover art, synopses, and metadata for the purpose of commentary, criticism, and review. We believe this constitutes fair use under 17 U.S.C. § 107. Specifically:
- Cover art and images are displayed at reduced resolution for identification purposes alongside our reviews and ratings
- Titles and metadata (author, publisher, release date, etc.) are factual information used for reference
- Synopses and descriptions are used to provide context for our reviews
- We do not host, stream, or distribute the underlying copyrighted works (books, films, music, etc.)
2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on the Site infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including its location on the Site (URL)
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf
3. Designated DMCA Agent
Send DMCA notices to:

4. Counter-Notification
If you believe that material was removed in error or that you have authorization to use it, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district (or Gregg County, Texas if you are outside the U.S.)
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complaining party and may restore the removed material within 10–14 business days unless the copyright owner files a court action.
5. Repeat Infringers
We will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
6. User-Generated Content
Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their reviews, stacks, and other submitted content do not infringe the rights of third parties. If a user's content is found to infringe copyright, it will be removed and the user may face account suspension.
7. Good Faith
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability. We encourage copyright owners to consider fair use before submitting a takedown notice.
